§ 7.08.010. General park regulations.

  • A.

    Generally. The following regulations shall govern activities ("specified activities") in the parks and recreational areas, exclusive of streets, roads, and public rights-of-way, owned or maintained by the city:

    1.

    No alcoholic beverages except during and at events officially sponsored by the city;

    2.

    No pets except as permitted in Title 7, Chapter 7.09 and Chapter 7.10 of this Code;

    3.

    No vehicles;

    4.

    No motor bikes;

    5.

    No bicycles or tricycles;

    6.

    No skateboards;

    7.

    No go carts;

    8.

    No scooters;

    9.

    No loitering in parked cars;

    10.

    No fundraising;

    11.

    No soliciting;

    12.

    No battery, electrical, or gas-powered flying objects;

    13.

    Park closed between nine-thirty (9:30) p.m. to daybreak; violators will be prosecuted;

    14.

    Vandals of city property will be prosecuted; see city code Section 11.04.020;

    15.

    Please keep park clean;

    16.

    Warning: area monitored by undercover security.

    17.

    No music shall be audible more than one hundred-fifty (150) feet from any park pavilion.

    18.

    Amplified music is expressly prohibited unless permitted through the city's special event permitting process. For purposes of this section, "amplified music" shall mean any music emitting from a radio, stereo or similar audio device which is made louder by an amplifier.

    These regulations shall not apply to individuals who receive a permit or license permitting a specified activity pursuant to other provisions of the city code.

    B.

    Posting of Signs. The signs identifying regulations set forth in this section shall be displayed conspicuously in all city parks and recreational areas by the city manager.

    C.

    Penalty. Any person, firm or corporation violating any provision of this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and punished as provided in Section 1.04.080 of this code.

    D.

    All dog waste must be promptly removed by dog owners and properly disposed of in designated receptacles.
